Privacy and Safety When Using a Proxy

Many assume connecting to a proxy makes them safe. A proxy mainly solves reachability; privacy still depends on your own habits. Keep these points in mind.

Know who can see what

HTTPS content is invisible to the node, but which domains you visit can, in principle, be logged by the operator. Choosing a reputable provider matters as much as not doing highly sensitive things over any proxy.

The checklist

• Download clients only from GitHub or trusted mirrors — never repacked builds
• Treat the subscription URL like a password; never screenshot it publicly
• Enable two-factor auth on important accounts — shifting proxy IPs can trip risk controls
• If anonymity matters, prefer providers accepting crypto (our partner Luobo Cloud takes USDT) to decouple payment identity

Good client-side habits

Use Rule mode, not Global, so domestic traffic never leaves the country; keep client and core updated for security fixes; and never import config files from strangers — a config controls your routing, and a malicious one can send your traffic anywhere.
